Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions using leading cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to understand application requirements and design scalable and reliable cloud architectures.
• Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline deployment, configuration, and management of cloud resources, utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
• Configure and manage cloud-based services and resources, including virtual machines, containers, databases, and networking components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, and performance degradation, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and recommend new tools and techniques to enhance cloud capabilities and performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, with hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Proficiency in cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles relevant to cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in cloud infrastructure.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
